Cutera CoolView is a non-ablative 1064nm ND YAG laser that delivers precise energy directly to unwanted blood vessels. The laser causes the targeted vessels to coagulate, which the body then gradually and naturally reabsorbs reducing redness, broken capillaries, and visible veins.

CoolView is suited to anyone dealing with facial redness, broken capillaries, or visible veins. If your skin looks persistently flushed, blotchy or you can see fine red veins close to the surface. We’ll assess your skin thoroughly before recommending it to make sure it’s the right fit for you.

If we decide that Vascular Laser is the treatment for you, we will take photos of the area prior. We will explain why we have chosen this treatment for you and discuss in depth what to expect pre, during and post treatment.

This is not a relaxing treatment; it causes some mild discomfort.

Your eyes will be covered with protective goggles while we treat. We apply a cold ultrasound gel to the area to support the surface of your skin.

The hand piece that touches the skin is 5 degrees to ensure skin cooling and comfort.

You will feel a warm, flicking sensation, similar to a rubber band snap. Some pulses can feel hotter depending on the area, boney areas are more uncomfortable.

Post we will apply ice packs and a cooling mask to the area to reduce heat and ensure optimum comfort.

Your skin may feel warm for a few hours post treatment.

Your skin is now going through a healing process so go easy on your skin for 5 - 7 days after Vascular Laser Treatment.

For 12 hours expect redness, warmth, tenderness and potentially some swelling.

For 3 - 5 days you may experience some redness and potential swelling. Bruising is rare but can occur with a Vascular Laser treatment.

To Do:

• Avoid your serums or exfoliation for five days post treatment. You can use a gentle cleanser, moisturiser & SPF only.

• Always avoid direct sunlight for 48 hours after treatment.

• Wear sunscreen and reapply every 2 hours, if outdoors always wear a wide brim hat. This is non negotiable.

• Avoid excess heat & excessive sweating for 48 hours.

• Do not schedule any injectable treatments for 1 weeks pre and post treatment.

Results:

You may notice a reduction in redness 2-3 weeks post Vascular Laser.

We may recommend multiple treatments or as part of a combination therapy treatment plan.
